With the world population reaching 9 billion by 2050, we need to find more sustainable ways of producing food. 

Through the Eagle Labs AgriTech programme, we showcase innovations in a number of areas that have been created for, or can be applied to the agricultural industry. From growing more food with less resource, to the use of robots for planting and picking crops and demonstrating how machine learning and AI can help the industry, we’re helping farmers make better decisions on how to improve their business now and in the future.

Our vision is to support UK agriculture and the food supply chain, to help it to become the most digitally-savvy farm force globally, and we do this through research, events, international delegations, collaboration and projects to help the entire food supply chain, from farmer to retailer, understand how technology can support and accelerate their business.

To build on the launch of the site, Barclays Eagle Labs are hosting a week of AgriTech events to highlight the importance of innovation in the sector. The week will consist of a series of webinars, each of which will touch on different themes and offer insight from a variety of businesses within the industry.
